I just learned today of Ann's death. I remember her with such fondness as we worked from different parts of the state toward improving the public education choices of Virginia's youth through Delta Kappa Gamma. I will miss her though I had not seen Ann in about ten years. My sympathy to all the family, Marilyn Riddle

Sympathies to Ann's family. She was one of the first ladies I met when I moved here in 2016. She was a member of Ridgedale United Methodist Church here in rich valley. She made me feel welcome and included me in readings for service. Very sweet lady who will be missed by all

I'm so sorry to learn of Ann's passing. We were neighbors and playmates for several years on Scratch Gravel Road. We only saw each other in passing in our busy adulthood always greeted by a beautiful smile. Prayers for the family and all her friends.

Ann was such a kind person, a very dedicated teacher, and a strong Christian lady.
She gave 100% in everything she did.
She will certainly be terribly missed, but I'm sure everyone who knew Ann will have their own special memory that will make them smile.
Sincere condolences to Ann’s family, and prayers for your healing and comfort.

Miss Cooper was my favorite teacher. I remember when I worked at the hospital she was having a procedure done and in her class room she would give out M&M's and I got her a bag and took them to her. She always gave me a big hug every time I saw her. She will be missed.

I was just thinking of “Miss Cooper” earlier this week. What a wonderful 3rd grade teacher. She taught not only me but my sister as well. Terrific teacher. I also got to know her later in life as Mrs. Gillespie. She & Don were insurance clients and I enjoyed working with both of them greatly. I will miss her. One of my all time favorite teachers. Take care & God Bless!! Joel Pugh

I just saw Ann's obit and was shocked and saddened. She was my son's third grade teacher and I'm sure his most favorite. She deeply cared that the kids understood what she was teaching them and would not hesitate to let the parent know when their child needed home help. I never met with her that she didn't have a smile on her face. Marion Primary lost a wonderful teacher when she retired. Heaven has gained a shining star. Our prayers are with her family and loved ones. May God's blessings comfort you.

Ann was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was my son Blake’s third grade teacher and he loved her. She was his most favorite teachers during his time in school. I worked with her some in the school system and I never heard a harsh thing said about her. May God wrap his arms around you , comfort you and give you the peace that passes understanding in the days to come.
