Obituary of Charles Edwin Dean
MARION, Va.
Charles Edwin Dean, age 95, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Carrington Place, Wytheville, Va.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ruby Fowler Dean; parents, Clinton and Ethel Dean; and sister, Wilma Farrington.
Charles is survived by his sons, Larry A. Dean of Marion, Va. and Garry E. Dean of Wytheville, Va.; daughter-in-law, Debbie Dean; grandchildren, Josh Dean and wife, Jessica, Travis Dean, Lisa Dean Gilbert, and Dana Dean Crewey and husband, Josh Crewey, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Brian Crockett, Tyler Crockett, Josh Crewey, Jr., Isaac Crewey, Jayden Dean, and Karter Dean; great-great-grandchildren, Gideon Crockett, Anna Lee Crockett, and Silas Crockett.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Don Mutter officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.
