Obituary of Robert Allen Bonham
SUGAR GROVE, Va.
Robert Allen Bonham, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Sugar Grove, Va., Sunday, July 25, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Glenn Bonham and Sue Cornett Bonham; and son, Steven G. Bonham.
Robert is survived by his wife and caretaker of 58 years, Joyce Ann Hall of Sugar Grove, Va.; son, William P. Bonham and wife, Jennifer of Saltville, Va.; grandson, Matthew Bonham and wife, Nicole; great-grandson, Luka Bonham; sister and caretaker, Lucille Bonham Hall; brothers, Donald Bonham and wife, Linda, Warren Bonham and wife, Janida; several nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
The family extends special appreciation to family members, friends, neighbors, and church family who assisted with Robert's care and visited during his illness. Also special thank you to Dr. Stieffel, Hospice of Lebanon, Dr. Mark Handy, Chilhowie Home Health Care Staff and Physical Therapists for their care, and to the kind family who loaned their personal medical equipment for Robert's use.
At Robert's request, he will be cremated and a graveside service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Burton's Chapel Cemetery, Ripshin Road (Route 603) Flatridge, Va., with Pastor David Medley and Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
