We here at Katbird’s Wine and Gourmet will sorely miss Betty. She was our customer since we began the business in 1995. We loved her lively spirit. Getting to know her over the years was a true blessing. She was so very generous, bestowing us with many of her specialty foods and many other gifts that she thought we would enjoy. We shared many laughs together being the beneficiary of her wonderful sense of humor. We sincerely wish the family hope, comfort and peace in this time of sadness and that you find solace in the many happy memories that you shared.

Betty Ann will be missed by so many who loved, respected, and admired her. It was a great pleasure to get to know and work with Betty Ann several years ago. Her wit, her intellect, and her grace are but a few of her countless attributes. Hugs and prayers to Harold, Chris, David, Amy, and her grandchildren as well as to all of BA's close friends and relatives.

When I think of Betty Ann, I will always remember her generosity. I met her when I was sitting with her sister, Eleanor. Not long after I started staying with Eleanor, I was invited to a really fancy wedding. I didn’t have many fancy clothes that would be appropriate for the occasion, but Betty Ann offered to let me borrow a beautiful shawl that she thought would do nicely to dress up my outfit. I thought this was an extremely kind and thoughtful thing to do. Most women would never consider lending their clothes to a person who was almost a virtual stranger to them. And when Harold and Betty Ann would bring “goodies” to Eleanor, then included me too. Betty Ann’s homemade chicken salad was always a big hit with both Eleanor and me. ❤️ I don’t know how Heaven works for sure, but I like to think of Betty Ann being reunited with Eleanor and Clara Jean and Dempy and her other brothers and her mother and father; but still keeping an eye out on Thelma Kate and Pete, like big sisters do. But now Betty Ann is free from the pain and resting in peace with God.
