Obituary of Kenneth "Kenny" Harris

Marion, Va.

Kenneth “Kenny” Harris, age 59, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tenn.

Kenny was a proud man who loved his family – especially the two who called him paw paw. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. If he wasn’t fishing or hunting, he was a passionate truck driver and loved his truck. Kenny Harris will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Eugene Harris; mother, Barbara Ward Brooks; and sister, Lynn Edlund.

Kenny is survived by his daughter, Kristin Price and husband, Eric; son, Dale Harris and wife, April; sisters, Sue Burke and significant other, Bill McCready, Leisa Heath and husband, Allen, and Sherry Harris; brothers, Doug R. “John” Harris and wife, Freida, David Harris and wife, Judy, Mike Harris and wife, Joy, and Dean Harris; two special grandchildren, Corbin and Addy Harris; several nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Deana Smith and her three sons, Tyler, Justin, and Blaine and their six children, who Kenny loved as his own.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Old Glade Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 33234 Lee Highway, Glade Spring, Va. with Pastor Mike Sage officiating and Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
