Obituary of Sarah Elizabeth Hammacker Johnson

TAZEWELL, Va.

Sarah Elizabeth Hammacker Johnson, age 37, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at her home in Tazewell, Va.

Sarah was our beloved daughter, mother and wife. She was the light of our life.

Sarah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Levy James Craig; aunts, Sandra Sternberg and Roberta Hammacker; and cousin, Erica Whitt.

Sarah is survived by her father, Vaughn Hammacker; mother, Sharey Hammacker, both of Abingdon, Va.; husband, David Johnson; son, Breydon; daughter, JayLeigh, all of Tazewell, Va.; grandmother, Lorraine Kalb; aunt, Elizabeth Whitt and husband, David, all of Ringgold, Va.; uncles, Donald Craig and wife, Paula of Kershaw, S.C., James Craig and wife, Debbie of Baltimore, Md.; and many cousins whom she loved dearly.

The family will have a private graveside service at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Va. with Pastor Rod Whicker officiating.
