Obituary of Thomas L. "Tommy" Fulcher

MARION, Va.

Thomas L. “Tommy” Fulcher, age 85, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Va.

Tommy Fulcher enjoyed fast cars and beagles. He drove the Howard Parks 01 car for years successfully at Wythe Raceway, and he loved hunting rabbits with his dogs. When Tommy wasn’t racing or at a shooting match, he enjoyed family – he was a loving dad, papaw, and friend to just about anybody. Tommy Fulcher will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Fulcher; son, Steven Fulcher; granddaughter, Savannah Lynn Barr; and five brothers.

Tommy is survived by his daughters, Michelle Lefler of Marion, Va., and Shannon Fulcher of Martinsville, Va.; brother, Archie Fulcher of Eden, N.C.; two grandchildren, Alexandria Nicole Barr of Huntersville, N.C. and Steven Fulcher of Martinsville, Va.; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Herman Cress officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
