Obituary of Phyllis Wassum Gray

ATKINS,VA.

Phyllis Wassum Gray, age 75, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home in Atkins, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Carrie Wassum and all of her brothers and sisters.

Phyllis enjoyed life and her family. She was loving and devoted to her husband, George for more than 50 years. Phyllis was active in her Nicks Creek Presbyterian Church. She loved singing with the Joyful Noise, working in her flowers and caring for her humming birds. She would do anything for anybody without question, those qualities are not too common anymore. Phyllis will be missed.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, George Gray of Atkins Va.; sons, Jeffery William Gray and wife, Kelly of Stewartstown, Pa. and Keith Gray of Abingdon, Md.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1 p.m at Wassum Cemetery in Atkins, Va. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
