Obituary of Helen Virginia Pickle Wolfe
MARION, Va.
Helen Virginia Pickle Wolfe, age 88, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Wythe County Community Hospital, Wytheville, Va.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Pierce and Dorothy Pickle; husband, Charles Rex Wolfe; son, Steve Wolfe; brothers, Edward Pickle and Ted Pickle.
Helen was a sweet woman who loved the Lord, her family and living life. She was a long time member of Laurel Springs United Methodist Church and when she wasn’t caring for her family, she worked many years in the garment industry, the drug store in Rural Retreat, and a special caregiver to many children in her home. Her kind, caring way will be missed by all those knew and loved Ms. Helen.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Mildred Dalton and husband, Gene of Austinville, Va.; son, George Wolfe and wife, Diane of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Mary Rhodes and husband, Blaine of Rural Retreat, Va.; grandchildren, Aaron Dalton of Austinville,Va., Brad Wolfe of Abingdon, Va., Kevin Wolfe of Church Hill Tenn.; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Lou Kate, of N.C.; and her faithful four legged companion, Snappy.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend John Graham officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Laurel Spring United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
