Obituary of John Mullins

MARION, VIRGINIA: JOHN R. MULLINS, age 71, died Monday, October 10, 2005 in Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. He was retired from the United States Navy after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Lona D. Mullins of Marion, Virginia. Two step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Jean and Alan Woods of Rural Retreat, Virginia and Brenda and Wayne Sims of Groseclose, Virginia; One daughter, Michelle Mullins of Seminole, Florida; One step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Ernie and Teresa Guy of Atkins, Virginia; One son, Joshua Mullins of Tampa, Florida; Two sisters, Rachael Crouse of Bristol, Virginia; and Carol Davis of Marion, Virginia. Nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Burial will follow in Wassum Cemetery, Atkins, Virginia, where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
