Obituary of Linda Lou Jenkins Farmer

MARION, Va.

 

Linda Lou Jenkins Farmer, age 57, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pricilla Jenkins and her brother, Tim Jenkins.

 

Linda was a loving wife, mom and grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed her work at District Three and all of the friends that became family. They’ll miss Linda’s cooking. She appreciated worshipping at Matson Chapel and after a short, but courageous battle with cancer, she made it to her heavenly home.

 

Linda  is survived by her husband, Michael Farmer of Marion, Va.; daughter, Victoria Farmer of Marion, Va.; sisters, Julie Jenkins, Calif., Marlene Jenkins of Quicksburg, Va., Stephanie Jenkins of Quicksburg,Va., Tina Leath of Mount Jackson, Va., two grandchildren, George Henderson and Spencer Matney.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Minister Bobby Endicott officiating. Graveside services will follow at Wassum Cemetery, 5549-5557 Lee Highway, Atkins Va. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel. Family and friends are asked to follow the COVID-19 Safety & Social Distancing Guidelines.
