Obituary of Thelma Jasik
MARION, VIRGINIA: THELMA DISHNER JASIK, age 95, widow of Edward "Shorty" Jasik, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at her home in Marion, Virginia. Born in Smyth County, Virginia, to the late James and Laura Welch Dishner, she is survived by one daughter, Alice Jasik Hurlebaus and husband, William of Marion, Virginia; Two grandchildren, Christopher Hurlebaus and wife, Tara of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, and Timothy Hurlebaus and wife, Victoria of Annandale, Virginia; Three great-grandchildren, Hailey Hurlebaus and Calum and Olivia Hurlebaus; One sister, Leona Preston of Marion, Virginia; Two sisters-in-law, Lucy Dishner and Ruth Dishner both of Marion, Virginia. A niece, Tessie Hayes and a number of other nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia, with Rev. William T. Wing, III and Rev. Eugene Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Park Presbyterian Chapel, c/o Farrington 627 Hilltop Street, Marion, Virginia 24354.
