Eleanor was a great friend of mine in English Meadows. I really wanted to visit her in Marion but the Covid-19 prevented. I am so sorry for your loss.

By chance I saw this announcement and photo of Mrs. Burkett and recognized the lady in the photo...the mother of friends and back-door neighbor in the 1950s. I moved away when Lynn was still a baby. But I have sweet, fun memories of your family, your lovely home and yard, your swingset, and your faithful, hardworking parents. I'm delighted to know that Mrs. Burkett had a good long life to share with her girls.
Blessings to all of you,
Harriet Harris Greaney, Dallas,TX

Your mother was so dear to me. She was a good friend of my mother, Elizabeth Cunningham, at English Meadows. Mom loved Eleanor so much. Mrs Cunningham passed away December 12 at age 98 and I know they are hugging each other right now. So sorry for your loss. I will cherish her memory forever.

Susie, I am saddened with the news of the loss of your beautiful mother. The loss of a parent is always a sad event, but during the Christmas season seems to amplify the sadness. Dan and Nancy Bales

Toots was always so wonderful to our family. She was a great lady in the truest sense. She was so compassionate during Kandi's early years and Lynn, your generosity by opening your home during our travels will never be forgotten.
Kandi enjoyed visiting Toots and speaks of her frequently.
Stay safe and remember you all will always have a warm spot in our hearts.

Eleanor was a "one of a kind" friend. We have loved her for years and always enjoyed being around her and her smiling face. She will be remembered as a very classy lady, who treated everyone with respect and dignity. Susie and family, you all will be in our thoughts and prayers. You were very blessed to have her with you so long.
