Joan and I extend our love and deepest sympathy. We were shocked and saddened to learn of Howard's death. He was a good neighbor and it was a pleasure to know him and his family over the years. Howard and I worked together as election officers at the John Battle High School Precinct for many years. I always enjoyed his company and the way he made sure that everything was carried out in accordance with the official procedures. He treated everyone with dignity, fairness, and kindness; and his cool demeanor and warm smile made for a pleasant and rewarding experience. He will be sorely missed!

Howard was so very helpful and handy when I worked at Redeemer Lutheran church. We had fun teasing each other. I took these photos in the church parking lot about a year ago. Prayers for his family and church family. Such a great loss!
