Hey,
While I was getting my mail one afternoon, Doris walked by me and spoke, "Hey Eddie!" I replied, "Hey Red!" Doris responded, "If you think my hair is red today, just wait until you see it tomorrow!" A fine lady, full of wit, and one who will be missed by all. My thoughts and best wishes for the Williams family.

I am sorry for your loss. Doris was my boss when I worked at Radford High School my senior year in 1968-1969. She was a super person. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Eddie and Mistie and Scarlett,
Was so sorry to read of Doris’s passing. I have known her since 1964 and loved Doris and her wonderful spirit. She was such a compassionate and caring person and over the years we have saw each other occasionally and it only took a few minutes and it was always like it was just yesterday that we were together.
She gave me my first real job when I was a junior in high school and then introduced me to my husband years later. Think she may have introduced me to my first alcoholic drink at her trailer on the lake. We had some good times.
Doris was always so much fun to be around and she loved her two daughters and was so proud of you and all your accomplishments. She was quiet the cook and I have some of her recipes. Would love to have Italian Creme Cake recipe.
Eddie Vince sends his condolences and we have always said so many times that we were going to come up on the lake and see you and wish we had. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
Her obituary was wonderful and I smiled and cried when I read it because it said exactly who she was and her wonderful SPIRIT.
