Allan and Lindy,
Nancy and I are heart broken as we have just heard about your mother. Doris was like a second mother to me when I went to work for her and your dad when I was thirteen years old and worked through my senior year in school. I have so many fond memories of the times spent with both of them. I never have met a harder working woman in my life as Doris.
I know she is already in heaven with Howard . God will use the two of them as special angels to shed happiness through the world.
Due to the huge outbreak hear in Ga of the Covid Virus it is not safe for me to travel to Marion at this time. We love both of you very much.

Dear Lindy, Allan and family,
I was so sorry to hear about Doris. I will always remember and treasure the fun times I spent with your family. Doris always made sure there was a balance between work and fun. Work first of course. I remember pumping gas and getting plenty of practice counting change at Parkway. So many people, especially elderly women loved to get their gas there. You operated on the 3C's : courtesy, compassion and care. Your family made a positive impact on me and the community. Then there was fun that sometimes got out of hand. I remember riding the4 wheeler, although I think it was a 3 wheeler, and we went too steep and wrecked. Somehow life begins to fly by and we go our separate ways. I'm thankful for those memories and your family. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Lindy and Allan,
I am so very sorry that you have lost your dear mother. We not only shared a birthday, but decades of friendship. Doris was the backbone of our Atkins community for as long as I can remember. Rex and I loved every moment spent with your parent, whether in church, working on projects or at celebratory dinners. There was no one who was more dedicated and devoted to her friends and causes than your mom. She worked tirelessly behind the scenes, never wanting recognition or attention.

Mrs Parks was always so nice to our sons whenever we stopped at the store and to everyone that knew her. The funniest memory I have is this: My late husband Roger stopped for fas and he always bought the boys a little something She rang him up and said Roger would you like a bag.
