I have known and loved Dan all my life. My dad Fields Sturgill and Dan spent a lot of time together. I have precious memories of him. Praying for dear Katherine and all the family. God gave you all his best when He gave you Dan. God Bless You and Comfort each of you.❤️

Without fail, Dan could always be depended upon for kind words. We worked together at Brunswick. He was one of those guys that you loved to work with. A true gentleman. I have nothing but great memories of Dan.

Our condolences to the Blevins family on Dan's passing. I could always count on his smiling face and friendliness whenever I was at Marion Baptist Church. Barry and I have laughed for 40+ years over the spelling bee story Dan told us back in the 70's when he picked us up one afternoon in his '65 VW Bug. I am grateful to have known him.

My heart and prayers are with Daniel’s family. Daniel was a great counsel to me in the 1980’s. I had accepted Christ but not been baptized. He encouraged me to be baptized and attend church. I was in my 20’s and Daniel’s Godly counsel helped so much. In working on my ancestry last year, I called First Baptist to find Daniel. He called me and we talked for over an hour. Daniel knew my dad and mom and he attended my mom’s funeral last year. I know Daniel is present with the Lord.

I have so many great memories of Mr. Blevins! I grew up with Taffy as one of my best friends and spent time with the family in their home (for sleepovers) and saw Dan and Katherine at Marion Baptist Church every week. Whenever I saw Dan, he was always smiling! He always seemed so happy! I truly believe it was because he loved people and loved to talk to everyone! If I saw him at church, he would take the time to really have a conversation with me.... and listen to what I had to say. How many adults really listen to teenagers? Dan did! He loved his family, too and it was apparent. He also loved the Lord and he loved to talk about God and how much God loved everyone! His love for the Lord was very evident! He was such a kind, loving man and will be missed in the community! My deepest sympathy for the family! Prayers for comfort for you all during this difficult time.
