In 1996, I had to have foot surgery which necessitated that I work in a wheelchair/alternated with crutches. Since I lived in Marion, VA., Rob Kilby came to my rescue. He would meet me every workday at Firestone Tire and get my WC & crutches and off we went to work at BRMC ER. He would drive me there and get me situated at work at the ER desk and then he would take his position in the Radio Room in the ER. He did all of this out of his BIG AND KIND HEART! We were friends throughout the years and I have never forgotten the BIG GUY with the BIGGER HEART! I will see you again, Kilby!

Rob and I attended many Nashville Predator games when he lived in Nashville. Just a few weeks ago we were remembering through text about the 2011 playoff game against Anaheim when Jared Smithson scored the game winner. We were at Rob's house and both of us jumped up off where we were sitting yelling and screaming! Rob was special and I will miss him dearly. All my love to Shannon, Matthew, Eric and all of Rob's family! You will be missed my friend!
