Obituary of Evelyn Widener

MARION, VIRGINIA: EVELYN G. WIDENER, age 75, died Thursday, August 25, 2005 in Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church. Mrs. Widener was employed for 50 years by Richardson Clinic, Marion, Virginia. She was a special loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.W. and Peggy Glass, sisters, Ruby Lee and infant twins. Mrs. Widener is survived by her husband, Charles E. Widener of Marion, Virginia. One daughter, Nancy "Nan" Plummer and husband, Joe of Marion, Virginia. One sister, Joyce George of Marion, Virginia. A special sister-in-law, Alberta "Gert" Widener of the home. Two step-grandchildren, Joey and Scott Plummer. Two step-great-grandchildren, David and Toni Plummer. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Graveside Services will be held Sunday, August 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
