Obituary of James Enwin Foster

Abingdon, Va.

JAMES "WHATEVER" ENWIN FOSTER, age 84, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at The Waters of Johnson City, Tenn.

Jim was a true gentleman. He was a kind, gentle, humble and loving husband to his soul-mate Joni for 63 years; and a wonderful dad and pop-pop to his grandchildren. Jim loved his Lord, and was a faithful, ordained Pastor. He enjoyed his family – he loved his family, and his country. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and was a deputy sheriff for 17 years in Jefferson County, Colo. A great day for Jim would have been any time with family, or the other "F" in his life – Fishing. Without an enemy in the world, he entered his Heavenly home to be with family, friends, and most importantly, the Lord Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enwin and Florence Foster.

Jim is survived by his wife, Joan Moline Foster, Abingdon, Va.; daughter, Kristianne Wolfe and husband, Retired Col. Daniel Glen Wolfe of Argyle, Texas; sons, Retired Lt. Col. James E. Foster, II and wife, Deborah of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Mark R. Foster of Roanoke, Texas; sister, Jean Damewood of La Belle, Fla.; five grandchildren, Tara S. Sood, Saryna Joy Parra, James E. Foster, III, Sgt. Daniel G. Wolfe, II, and Kristopher J. Wolfe; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
