Obituary of Robert Joseph Falkie

MARION, VIRGINIA: ROBERT JOSEPH "JOE" FALKIE, age, 62 died Thursday, July 18, 2019 at his home.

Joe always had a smile and a joke or something to say. He made many friends from his Walmart days. He left his earthly home peacefully for his Heavenly home, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hazel Falkie; and a sister, Robbie Burton.

Joe is survived by his aunt, Peggy Clayton of Crozet, Va.; uncles, Ray Hester of Marion, Va. and Rodney Hester of Free Union, Va.; niece, Cari Lynn Birt of Phoenix, Az.; several cousins including special cousins, Elma Wyatt and Tommy Hester, both of Marion, Va. and Patty Clark and her daughters Virginia and Lora, all of Crozet, Va.; special friends, Linda, Bimbo and Corey Blevins.

At Joe's request all services will be private. Burial will take place in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe's honor to Smyth County Humane Society, P.O. 1124, Marion, VA 24354.
