Obituary of Linda Rose Martin

SALTVILLE, Va. LINDA ROSE MARTIN, age 79, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her home in Saltville. Linda was a kind and loving wife, mother and nanny – a few even called Great Nanny. She was a hard worker – never complaining. Linda was a wonderful cook. Her family loved her biscuits and gravy with pancakes. She enjoyed her church, The Lighthouse Baptist Church in Saltville. Linda loved her family, and they loved and will miss her; but she's in a better place with no pain and no cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald K. "Ronnie" Martin, Sr.; parents, Walter and Nora Rose; grandson, Justin Lee Martin; one sister and three brothers. Linda is survived by her daughters, Juanita Doane and husband, Buck of Saltville, Va., Vickie Taylor and husband Mike; son, Ronald K. Martin, Jr. and wife, Becky; sisters, Betty Testerman and husband, Jim, all of Marion, Va., Judy Grace and husband, Bobby of Chilhowie, Va., and Nellie Jones of Abingdon, Va.; brothers, Ronnie Rose and wife, Nancy, and Kenny Rose, all of Marion, Va.; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Amy, Chace, Tonya, Joe-Bill, Joe and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 27, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Benny Frye officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Round Hill Cemetery, Marion, Va.
