I have such fond memories of George when I worked for him as a teacher at the Job Corps for 5 years. Anna was maybe 2 years old and John Adam was born during that time. George always kept things interesting. He had done great ancestry research on John Adam's name. Those were the days that he was in the CB business. We got an update every morning over coffee. All of us will remember his infamous mustache. He did enjoy music. Sandra, I remember what a great musician you are. You were our pianist for all events while we were in high school. I would imagine that your children inherited your musical talent.
So very sorry to hear that George is singing with the angels. I know you will miss him greatly. When Bert was working at Belks, he talked with both of you a year or so ago. Our prayers are with your family during this sad time.

Our condolences to all members of George's family. I have been blessed to know George his entire life and growing up together in the Kimberlin community. His great grandfather (several greats) Adam Dutton and my several greats grandfather George Weaver were the first trustees and founding members of the Kimberlin Lutheran Church, the first Lutheran Church built in Wythe County.
George will be missed by all who have known him. Our love and sadness we share with Sandy, Anna and John. Jack and Rosedith (Rose) Sult Weaver

I will always remember how hard he worked with therapy no matter how bad he felt, he had a really good day and we took off on the gator, I thought to myself I need a seat belt as he went so fast, when we got back he showed me where the seat belt was!! What an adventure!! Now he's on adventure with the so many we've lost , such as my Dad, they played ball together, what a heck of a team heaven has now! All my love to the family, always Rachel

I am so very sad to hear about George. He was a wonderful and very talented man. There is not enough space on here to tell of all the great memories that I have of all of us that worked together for over 23 years. Some sad but most of them funny. George had a young soul and working for him was never a chore. I have prayed for him every night since I learned of his illness. I pray that he is at peace now. Sandy, Anna, John, and grandchildren, you guys meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband and a loving and very proud father and grandfather. I will never hear another Bob Dylan song without thinking of him. May God bless you all and bring you comfort.

Sorry to learn of George's passing. He was an outstanding Rotarian and I had the honor of being in Rotary with him for many years. I always enjoyed the programs he brought to Rotary especially when he shared his love of music with the club. He and I often discussed the plays at the Barter which definitely was a love for both of us. I'll miss those discussions very much. Rotary won't be the same without him.
However, I am glad he's no longer suffering and finally has peace.
