Obituary of Lawrence Ray "Radio" Williams
Marion, Va.
Lawrence Ray “Radio” Williams, age 75 passed away Monday, April 08, 2019 at Francis Marion Manor.
Radio was a great man! He was always smiling no matter where he was or how he felt. Lawrence loved his family and was crazy about his baby girl “Kris” and his grandchildren. He loved – loved – loved golf and enjoyed being on the greens with his friends. Lawrence was a Redskins and Hokies fan through and through. His constant smile and gentle way will be missed by the loved ones in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burleigh and Mary Williams; five brothers; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Kristi Williams Frazier and significant other, Todd Doane; Ann Williams, mother to Kristi, Nana and caregiver to Lawrence; four grandchildren, Camden Daniel Gregory Doane, John Wesley Frazier, Maddison Scott Frazier and Nathaniel James Oakes Doane; three sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Garney Powers, Larry Carter, Bill Gullion and many more, especially his Harwood buddies.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Paul Shallenburg and the Reverend Mike Halsey officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel and any time before the services at the apartment of Todd Doane.
