Obituary of Nona Tibbs

GLADE SPRING, VIRGINIA: NONA EDNA HESTER TIBBS, age 74, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 in Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. Tibbs, her parents, Gaylord and Iris Hester, one brother, Charlie Hester, one grandson, Staff Sergeant Erik McClure and one great-grandson, Donavan Bays. Mrs. Tibbs is survived by three sons, Ken Parks of Fishersville, Virginia, Charles Parks of Marion, Virginia, and Mike Parks of King, North Carolina. Three daughters, Debbie Buchanan of Bristol, Tennessee, Patty Harris and Linda Stanley both of Glade Spring, Virginia; Thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one nephew. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Larry Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in the Baptist Cemetery, Galde Spring, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
