Obituary of Ernest William Waskey
MARION, Va.
ERNEST WILLIAM “BILLY” QUINTON WASKEY, age 49, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at his home in Marion, Va.
He was born on June 11, 1969 in Prince George County Md. to Mary M. Waskey and the late Robert Lee Waskey, Sr.
Billy loved to laugh and make others laugh. He always thought of others and encouraged them to enjoy a little piece of life. He always saw the good in people and would give the shirt off his back to help another. Billy was a hard worker and was faithful for numerous years as a tire technician with Thompson Tire in Marion, Va. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be missed!
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Diane “Patty” Waskey.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Sue Waskey of Marion, Va.; daughters, Carrie Whitt of Marion, Va. and Vicky Whitt of Richlands, Va.; mother, Mary M. Waskey of Marion, Va.; sisters, Mary Lee Waskey of Marion, Va., Betty Jean Trotter of Md. and Betty Jo Burianek of Brunswick, Ohio; brothers, Robert Lee Waskey, Jr. and wife, Julie of Rural Retreat, Va., John Waskey and wife, Barbie of Prince Frederick, Md,. and Tom Waskey of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews, three great-nieces, one great-nephew and special friends, Rainey Cox, Dempsey Odham and Toni Testerman also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 p.m. until time of the service.
