Obituary of Ralph Arnold Hall
ATKINS, Va.
Ralph A. Hall, age 59, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his home.
Ralph was the kind of guy who loved to make everyone laugh. He was well liked by his family and friends. Ralph was known all over Smyth County as a hard worker and a cut up. If he wasn't working, he was hanging out with his family, fishing, riding the back roads, or doing anything outdoors. If you were ever out in the holler and you thought you heard Willie Nelson singing – it was probably Ralph. He was a good-hearted man who loved life, his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Magdalene Hall, and infant brother, Tommy Hall.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall of Atkins, Va.; daughter, Brandi Hall Swinhart and husband, James of Marion, Va.; father, Perry Arnold Hall of Atkins, Va.; sisters, Kathy Hall Boardwine of Atkins, Va., Connie H. Blizzard and husband, Charles of Marion, Va.; brother, David L. Hall and wife, Linda of Atkins, Va.; brother-in-law, Ron Boardwine of Atkins, Va.; several aunts and uncles; and special friends Don and Angie Hockett.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Tracy Puckett officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Groseclose, Va. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
