Obituary of Mildred Lee Horne

Mildred Lee Horne, age 75, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2018.

She was born in Castlewood, VA on November 08, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Fannie Vicars and the love of her life, Sam Horne.

She is survived by her children, Sammie, John, Marie, and Lisa; her grandchildren Crystal, Jennifer, Heidi, Courtney, Jordan and Sammie; and her 6 great grandchildren.

Ms. Horne devoted her life caring for her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be terribly missed.

At this time, a service will not be held as Ms. Horne’s wish was for her body to be donated to science.
