Obituary of William "Bill" Graham Bice
Marion,VA.
After a short but courageous fight, William (Bill) Graham Bice, age 81, lost his battle with cancer on October 20, 2018. “If we live, we live for the Lord and when we die, we die for the Lord” Romans 14:8. Bill was a member of Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church and Matson Presbyterian Chapel. Anyone who knew Bill, knew he loved his Lord, his churches, his family and friends and he especially loved and cherished his three grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Viola Bice; parents James Wiley Bice and Ocie Viola Neal ; five brothers, Robert, Tommy, Jimmy, Ray and Roy (Stick) Bice; six sisters, Catherine Snow, Virginia Crawley, Juanita Bice, Mary Doane, Dorothy Hayden , Shirley Holmes; father and mother- in -law, Scott and Louise Lovern; sister -in-law, Frances and husband, Bob Stamper; several nieces and nephews; special friends who joined him in his home going including Robert May, Bryan Childress, Sonny Perkins and Ralph Robinette.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Brenda Lovern Bice; daughter DiAnna Bice and partner James Wingler; niece who was more like a daughter, Franki Fuller and husband Rusty; special nephew Dustin Stamper and his children Gage, Liam and Addisyn; three very special grandchildren who were the most precious to him, Travis William Doane, Kaydan Cora Frances ,Tryson Samuel Bryant Wingler; along with several very special nieces and nephews. Bill also had several little buddies that he adored including Lucas Stables, Baylee Smith, Alexis and Riley Fields, and Emma and Colt Norman. Bill leaves behind several lifelong friends including Clyde Cox, Donnie Groseclose, Donald Mutter and Ancil Stephens.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 23, 2018 at Seaver- Brown Chapel at 7 p.m. with Pastor Don Mutter presiding. Special music by Wendy Boyd and Henry Thomas. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 24, at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery.
