To the family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Floyd at Smyth County Community Hospital several years back, he was a great guy and I’m thankful that he was my friend. Praying for God to give you comfort and strength during this extremely difficult time.

Floyd was above all else, a man of principal. As a human being he had his flaws just as we all do. You knew where you stood with Floyd at all times. He didn't mince words or sugarcoat his feelings for political correctness. Floyd was a kind and generous man who often would just give you something of his if you expressed an interest in it. He liked guns & knives and had an impressive collection of both. His tattoos reflected both the pain and joy of different times in his life. He wore them well, and they were, a part of him.
He was my cousin and my life was enriched for having known him. It will remain forevermore so, but bittersweet knowing that he has left the earthly bounds we once shared.
