Obituary of Patsy Sue Blizzard

MARION, Va.

Patsy Sue Blizzard, age 59, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her home in Marion, Va.

She was born January 7, 1959 to the late Walter and Shirley Armstrong. Patsy was always smiling and making you feel welcome, especially if you'd ever walked into Marion Wal-Mart, where she had worked for 15 years. She loved her family (most of the time), but she was crazy about the kids who called her MawMaw. When she could, she loved riding horses, going to Cherokee, and shopping. Her family and friends will cherish the memories and good times with their Patsy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ed Blizzard; sister, Sherry Pruitt; brother-in-law, Randy Pruitt; and sister-in-law, Robin Armstrong.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kayla Roe and husband, Chris of Chilhowie, Va.; sisters, Priscilla Martin and husband, David of Marion, Va., Shirley Armstrong of Cedar Springs, Va., and Shelley Lieke of Marion, Va.; brothers, Jamie Armstrong of Rich Valley, Va., Eddie Dean Armstrong and wife, Wilma of Groseclose, Va., and Charles "Pud" Armstrong and wife, Denise of Marion, Va.; five grandchildren, Mason, Maxton, Milly, Micheal, and Marcus Roe all of Chilhowie, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
