I am saddened to hear about the passing of Mandy. She was always so sweet and kind, and a good friend to me in high school. Unfortunately lost touch with one another over the years, but if I know Mandy she continued to touch lives with whomever she met. The world definitely lost an amazing person, but Heaven gained an absolute angel.

So sorry to hear of Mandy's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Mandy when she came to work at Hutchinson and late last year when she was getting treatments. I loved listening to her talk about everything. She was a kind soul and a friend to many. To the family I send my condolences. She will be missed.

Manderella.
Beautiful. Stubborn. Mischievous. Loyal. Humble....Fierce. Just words, and words could never capture the beauty of her soul, the stubborn tilt of her chin when she was determined to prove you wrong, or the mischievous glint in her eye when she wanted to have fun at your expense. Words could never capture the music in her laugh, or the softness of her voice, or sheer amount of willpower she exhibited--whether it be trying to save a friend from their own demons, sharing her love with those she felt in need, or fighting off the illness that debilitated her.
I was blessed, for almost 30 years, with the opportunity to bask in her light. The light she shone in all the dark corners of my soul, and the love she showered on me as my friend even in all the times I didn't deserve it. Every time I'd try to sink into the shadows, she would be there to drag me kicking and screaming back out into the light, and share a picnic with me in the sunshine on the other side. She was, and I believe will always continue to be, a force of nature...more powerful in her goodness and grace than something as simple as death could ever conquer.
Being invited to share her life will forever be one of the greatest honors I experience. Knowing her family, spending time with them, and loving them has, too.
Adam--few things in this world have ever made me as happy as the day I found out you and Mandy were planning a future together. If I had magic in my fingertips, I could not have fashioned out of thin air a more amazing man to love my friend. I've loved you since you were just a child--that seems both forever ago, and just yesterday--and am both so unbelievably proud of the man you've become, and in awe of the love you both shared.
Mike, Linda, Lee, Ty...there are no words to express how my heart aches for you. I love you all, and will be here to support you in any way I can.
