Obituary of Charles Winston (Chuck) Roberts

Sugar Grove, Va.

Charles Winston (Chuck) Roberts, age 48, of both Sugar Grove, Va. and Crumpler, N.C., passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018.

Chuck had a laugh that would light up the room; and when he was telling a story, he would keep you laughing a long time. He was very sociable and never met a stranger. Chuck was the kind of person who would offer the shirt off his back even if it was his last one. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Roxanne Roberts; father, Winston Kenneth Roberts; and grandparents, Charles "Jack" and Almedia Perkins.

Chuck is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Roberts of Sugar Grove, Va.; sons, Albert Utley of West Jefferson, N.C. and Charles Winston Roberts of Boone, N.C.; girlfriend, Karen S. Anderson of Marion, Va.; brothers, William Kenneth "Tony" Roberts of Sugar Grove, Va.; two grandchildren; special friends, Zachary Alford, Bill Perkins, Bobby Glenn and Jamie Ross; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Bob Baker and LaTara Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
