Obituary of Steven Tyler Everitt
GLADE SPRING, Va.
Steven Tyler Everitt, age 36, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Oldsmar, Fla.
Steven graduated from St. Anne Catholic School in Bristol and went on to play high school football for Patrick Henry High School where he was a Virginia All-State Football player for three years. During that time, he was named to the Virginia Group A All-State Football Team, including, First Team All-State Place Kicker where he set a Group A Career Field Goal record.
After high school, Steven went on to the University of Alabama, became a loyal football fan and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography. He would use his education over the last ten years as an Urban Planner for the City of Oldsmar, Fla. where his expertise was Floodplain Management. Steven enjoyed his work and his membership with the American Planning Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Everitt; grandparents, Joseph Midzinski, and Ronald and Vivian Everitt; and his faithful companion, his dog Belle.
Steven is survived by his mother, Eileen Everitt of Glade Spring, Va.; sister, Laura Everitt of Tampa, Fla.; brother, Brian Everitt of Bristol, Tenn.; grandmother, Antoinette Midzinski; aunt, Elizabeth Everitt; great-aunt, Elizabeth Wactawski; and several cousins.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 12 noon at St. Anne Catholic Church, 350 Euclid Avenue, Bristol, Va. 24201 with Father Chris Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Glade Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 33234 Lee Highway, Glade Spring, Va. 24340. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Anne Catholic Church.
