Obituary of Patricia Ann "Pat" Williams

CHILHOWIE, Va.

Patricia Ann "Pat" Williams, age 51, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol, Tenn.

Pat was a loving daughter, friend and overcomer. Her biological family was very small; however, the family she chose was huge. Pat's personality and voice was recognizable to most everyone from her time at the Department of Rehabilitation, office manager for Heatherwood Counseling, and finally after she settled in at Valley Health Care Center and became the voice and window of Valley for 11 years. Even with her disabilities, she never stopped or was discouraged – she lived life with gusto! Pat loved people, her second family, and her animals. Although she was small in stature – her passing will leave a huge empty place in the lives of her second family and home at Valley Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruth Williams; and her beloved dog Spot.

Pat is survived by her aunt, Mattie "Aunt Mag" Davis of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; numerous cousins; special friends, Susan Mason, Debbie Blankenship, Curtis "Mody" Williams, and Kiana Buskill; and her special feline companion, Thomas.

Special thanks to the staff at Select Specialty Hospital in Bristol and Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Valley Health Care Center in the 1st Floor Day Room, with the Reverend Bob Neace officiating. Burial at Round Hill will be private.
