Obituary of Debra "Debbie" Sue Thomas

DAMASCUS, Va.

Debra "Debbie" Sue Thomas, age 60, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.

To know Debbie was to love her. She was a feisty, giving and loving lady who loved and was loved by her family and many friends. Debbie will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Jean Robinson; brother, Donald "Ducky" Thomas; and granddaughter, Ashley Schibinger.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Schibinger and husband, Shane of Marion, Va.; sons, Tommy Benton, Jr. and wife, Michelle of Ellendale, Del., and Brian Benton and wife, Nicole Clogg of Millsboro, Del.; father, Cecil Thomas and wife, Jeannie Thomas of Thermal, Ca.; sister, Sherry McVey and husband, Roland of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Michael Thomas and wife, Pamela of Clarksville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Tori, Samantha, Shaina, Hailey, Brian, Jr., Gage, Tyler and David; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Damascus VFW Post #9830, 23455 Mountain City Road, Damascus VA 24236.
