Obituary of Donna Marie Williams Maloskey

RURAL RETREAT, Va.

Donna Marie Williams Maloskey, age 57, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Va.

She was born June 23, 1960 in Lexington, Va. the fifth child of Walter W. and Mary Goodpasture Williams. The family moved back to Marion in 1962 where she lived until she married. Donna and Stanley were married September 4, 1982 at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church where they met, and still attend; and where she has taught Sunday school since 1983. She began working the summer of 1976; she was a pharmacy tech for 13 years and quit her job in 1990 to pursue her dream of being a full-time mother, and child care provider in her home. Donna enjoyed singing in the choir, mission work, gardening, hiking, camping, and clogging; but most of all being with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Dora Williams, and Alrid and Dallas Goodpasture.

Donna is survived by her husband of nearly 36 years, Stanley Joe Maloskey of Rural Retreat, Va.; daughter, Anna Pauley and husband, Dustin of Troutdale, Va.; son, Joseph Maloskey and wife, Amy  of Rural Retreat, Va.; sister, Carol Johnson and husband, George (P-Nut) of Marion, Va.; brothers, Henry Williams and wife, Vicki of Barleson, Tx., Luther Williams of Atkins, Va., and Steve Williams and wife, Sherry of Lynchburg, Va.; grandchildren, Sarah, Lydia and Micah Pauley, and Caroline Maloskey; five nieces, four nephews, one great-niece and five great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Justin Hall and the Reverend Harry Howe officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
