Obituary of Daniel Harrison Hawthorne

MARION, Va. Daniel Harrison Hawthorne, age 71, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at his home. He was born May 20, 1946 to the late Walter and Zela Hawthorne. Daniel was a good husband for 46 years, and a friend to many. In his Bible, Daniel wrote "respect all the evil that may be done to me, whatever it is and however it is done; divine spirit that is within me I charge you to watch over me and defend me". In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his daughter, Lanina Jackson; and three brothers, Lewis, Matthew and Walter Hawthorne. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Debra McAllister Hawthorne of Marion, Va.; son, Byron Hawthorne and wife, Sonia of Morgantown, W.Va.; sister, Ethel Stuart of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
