Obituary of Wendell Lynn Watkins

Weston, FL 

Wendell Lynn Watkins, age 85 - Mr. Watkins, a Vice -President of Manufacturing for The Harwood Companies, died December 4, 2017 at Cleveland Clinic, Weston, FL.  He was a member of First Baptist Church at Weston, Jaycees, Lions Club, Rotary, Masons and also a member of the Army National Guard. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and attended many games over the years. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was born in Trezevant, TN to Roy Lynn and Kathleen Walker Watkins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Vessie Lee Thomas Watkins of Weston, three sons Jerry Dwayne (Sara) Watkins of Winston-Salem, NC, Rondol Wayne (Cathy) Watkins of Greenville, SC and Gary Lynn (Susan) Watkins of Atlanta, GA, one sister Peggy Simmons of Milan, TN, three brothers Kenny (Cindy) Watkins of Greenfield,TN,  Larry (Paula) Watkins of McKenzie, TN and Richard (Dinah) Watkins of Southaven, MS, two grandchildren Colin Watkins and Lauren Watkins and one great-granddaughter Nora C. Watkins

Funeral Services were held Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Internment was at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family received friends Thursday, December 7, 2017 12:00 noon until service time.
