Obituary of Johnnie Alexander Stuart

CHILHOWIE, Va. Johnnie Alexander Stuart, age 72, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center. Johnnie was born December 15, 1944 in Tazewell to the late Fred and Myrtle Elswick Stuart. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Stuart; and sister, Sue Smith. Johnnie is survived by his son, Jeremy John Stuart and girlfriend, Jean Chism of Marion, Va.; brothers, Bobbie Stuart and wife, Y'vonne of Fancy Gap, Va., Freddie Stuart and wife, Joyce of Damascus, Md., and Jackie Stuart and wife, Gee of Mechanicsville, Va.; grandchildren, Mark A. Stuart of Marion, Va. and John Lewis Stuart of Cody, Wy.; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin, Va.
