Obituary of Harvey W. Farmer
MARION, Va.
Mr. Harvey W. Farmer, age 76, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
He was born February 16, 1941 in Independence, Va. to the late Luther and Fannie Walton Farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Dunford; and three brothers, Tracy Farmer, Lacy Farmer, and James Farmer.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Lydia Jackson Farmer; two daughters, Patricia Calahan and husband, Thomas, and Donna Farmer; three sisters, AnnaRuth Hayden, Frances Wyatt, and Ola Farmer; one brother, Steve Farmer, all of Marion, Va.; four grandchildren, Amanda and husband, Rick, Jessica and husband, Humberto, Joshua, April and fiancé, Shawn; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Larry Parks and Pastor Bob Surber officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. Anderson Hill Cemetery, Troutdale, Va. The funeral procession will leave at 12:15 p.m. from Seaver-Brown Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
