Obituary of Edward Nelson Rowe

Lexington, S.C.

Edward Nelson Rowe, age 50, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

Eddie was a good father, and a fan of the outdoors. He never met a stranger and would love you like family. He loved his country and was proud to serve in the U.S. Army. If he wasn’t driving his truck - he could be found with his grandchildren, probably with a fishing pole in his hand. They don’t make them any better than Eddie Rowe, he will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rivana Prince Rowe.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Dixie Fields Rowe of Marion, Va.; four daughters, Margaret Rowe, Tabitha Rowe, Alexis Rowe, all of Lexington, S.C. and Tasha Rowe of Abingdon, Va.; three sons, Dean Rowe, of Lexington, S.C., Derick Rowe of Chilhowie, Va., and Christopher Rowe, of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Debbie Rowe; aunt, Rhonda Prince, both of Va.; and three grandchildren, Noah Patterson, Neyoka Ward and Alivea Ward.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Burial will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Road, Dublin, Va. with Military Rites conducted by Old Dominion VFW Post #1184. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
