Obituary of Gerald Lee Putman

MARION, Va.

GERALD LEE “JERRY” PUTMAN age 71, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Wexford House in Kingsport, Tenn.

Jerry was a good man. He loved his family, sometimes too much. He was a strong man, in every sense of the word. Jerry will be missed by all who knew, loved and cared for him.

He is survived by his wife Annicia G. Putman, of Marion, Va.; one daughter, June Lynn Andrews of St. Pete, Fla.; seven sons, Michael Dwayne Williams and wife, Dana of Sugar Grove, Va., David Scott Putman and wife Bobbie, of St. Pete, Fla., Jason Nathaniel Putman and fiancé, Brandi Krell, Gerald L. Putman, Jr. and wife, Melissa, all of Marion, Va., Aaron Hall and wife, Ashley of Sugar Grove, Va., Shannon Mosier and wife, Jennifer of Nickelsville, Va., and Jonathan Shipley of Kingsport, Tenn.; one sister, Louise Farmer of Smyrna, Georgia; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12 noon at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Blake Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
