Obituary of Peggy Arlene Wright

RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA

PEGGY ARLENE BOWERS WRIGHT, 82, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 2, 1935 in Carrol County, Va. to the late Harden and Sadie Bowers.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by four brothers, Randolph Bowers, Ken Bowers, Tex Bowers, and Walter Bowers; and two sisters, Lois Dickerson and Lettie McGee.

Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her husband of 58 years, Daniel D. Wright of Rural Retreat, Va.; daughters, Sarah R. Tuggle and husband, Joe of Saltville, Va., and Deborah Lynn Bowers of Wytheville, Va.; sons, James P. Freeman of Bristol, Va., and Keith Wright and wife Kelly of Rural Retreat, Va.; step-son, Ricky Wright of Martinsville, Va.; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews, and special friends, Alicia Richardson and Becky Sexton.   

A memorial service to honor Peggy’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Herbert Inman officiating.
