I was deeply saddened to learn that we have lost another classmate and friend. Although I had not seen Roger since our high school days, I have many fond memories of him. I will always remember him as being one of the nicest and most respected young men in our class. I will always cherish the friendship that we shared as teenagers. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I wanted to express my sympathy to all the family, Frances especially, to your children and grandchildren, to Larry, Don and the entire family. Though Roger and I have not stayed in touch through the years, I have always had warm, positive thoughts for him because he was a good guy-a friend, classmate and teammate who was an exceptional receiver in football who knew how to reach the end zone time after time! He had a quiet, calm confidence with a gentleness and humbleness about him. Having been accepted into the Bales family that I thought the world of, I always felt welcomed in their home, overnight or otherwise as a high schooler or later. My thoughts are are with you today and tonight, as they have been since Sunday!

So sorry to hear of Roger's passing. He was much too young to leave but obviously God needed him in some capacity.

Sorry to hear about Roger passing. I worked with Roger for over 10 years at JC Penney.
Roger was a great family man. He talked about his wife, children and grand children all the time.
Enjoyed being around Roger.

Roger was a great friend of mine. I enjoyed the times we had at the auctions. I will miss the calls from him asking how my wife was doing. She will miss him also for his kidding her. Our prayers are with the family. He was a great friend.

I was so sorry to hear the news about Roger! I know it will be hard for his family and friends to live without him, but we know that one day we will see him again! Roger always had a smile on his face and always called Sharon, Chris, and myself Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3! He would ask me about Thing 1 and 3 when I'd stop by his booth at the shows!
