Obituary of Virginia Anne Arnold

ATKINS, Va. VIRGINIA ANNE ARNOLD, age 74, of Atkins, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn. Anne was born April 28, 1942 in Atkins, Va. to the late Joseph Bruce and Virginia Taylor Arnold. She was certainly N.Y Yankees biggest fan! One of the highlights of her life was visiting N.Y. and attending the Yankees games on three separate occasions in her life. Anne always assisted with class reunion organization, and was always willing to help others. She never met a stranger, and seemed as if she was known by everyone. Anne loved life! She was a very fashionable and never left the house without looking her best. She was always helping her sisters with their clothing choices. It is certain that Anne will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Butch Arnold; and a niece, Kelly Calahan. Anne is survived by three sisters, Mickey Arnold of Advance, N.C., Janice Martin of Atkins, Va., and Judy Dishner of Marion, Va.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Andrew Cundiff officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va.
