I worked for Johnnie as a housekeeper but then she became one of my closest friends. I just now heard of her passing sadly but I know she was ready to go home to be with her Lord and not have to feel bad anymore like I know she had ! I had asked my mother to call and try to get ahold of her just the other day and I also sent out a Christmas card not knowing of her passing . I am saddened to know that I didn't get to say goodbye to her or to come to her services , and that it has been over a year since her passing without me knowing, but I am glad that she has entered Heaven's gates !

I was in Marion Sr. High School with Jonnie Bell but I didn't know her well then. In the past several years I got to know her better. She came to my church at Marion 1st. Church of God plus I knew her in another way & we became close friends & helped each other in different ways. She was a remarkable person as my preacher William McCollian said last Sunday. I'll miss her so much. She could talk about life issues & tell a verse from the Bible that pertained to it & that is amazing. She was such a good person to talk to. One thing I remember a few months ago. She told me on the phone that she told her Dr. how God had blessed her. She told me he was surprised at her saying this because she was so sick. I was amazed also but this shows her strong faith & to me, this is an example of her witnessing her faith to the doctor & to me also. Heaven has gained a wonderful person with her presence. She'll be missed by so many.

My Sympathy and Condolences to The Family of Jonnie Bell. She was a dear friend in school Class of 65. She and I had so many good laughs and So much fun during high school. We lost touch as close friends through the years but I was always delighted to see her and her radiating smile in the times I did see her.

Dear Family and friends,
I am so thankful that God made a way for us to live eternally with Him. He was ready for Jonnie to come to be with Him, but He tells us that He will comfort and give peace during the times that a loved one leaves us. Don't let your hearts be troubled. In His Father's house are many mansions and He went to prepare a place for us, He is returning one day to take us home and there we will be with Him and all that have gone before forever.

When I heard today about Jonnie Bell's passing, it broke my heart. We used to cut hair side by side and we created a lifetime of memories. We didn't keep up with each other and I regret that immensely.
JB, you made your mark in the world before leaving it. I know you're with your dad right now, catching up on all those years you missed him so.

I worked with Jonnie years ago and will always remember the laughter, her care for others, and her faith. She gave me an angel window hanging which I treasure, as I treasure her memory. Prayers to her family. What a special lady!

Oh how I loved sweet Jonnie Bell. God blessed me with a very close friendship with Jonnie and although I am sad tonight because I miss her and my heart hurts; I am mostly happy that Jonnie has gone to her heavenly home where she no longer hurts or suffers. Instead, she is at peace with her Heavenly Father!
I'll pray that we'll celebrate together in Heaven one day. Until then, my love for you will be kept in my heart. Thank you our precious God.
