Obituary of Ronald Lynn Branum

MARION, Va. RONALD LYNN BRANUM, age 67, died Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born June 16, 1949 in Oakridge, Tenn. to the late James and Wanda McConkey Branum. Ron was proud to be a Veteran of the U.S. Army. After serving his country during the Vietnam War, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Damon Castle. Ron is survived two sisters, Alexia Castle of Maryville, Tenn. and Melody Shipley of Church Hill, Tenn.; two step-sisters, Copella Terlistky and Katrina Bagley; one step-brother, Collin Castle; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, Tenn. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
