Obituary of Martha Jane Reedy Frye

SALTVILLE, VIRGINIA Martha Jane Reedy Frye, age 75, was called home to be with the Lord on February 25th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Fanny Reedy; Brothers: Jack B. Hopkins, Frank (Buddy) Reedy, C.L. Reedy, William (Billy) Reedy; sisters: Martha (Sis) Hopkins Cassell, Paige Reedy McMullen, Mary Reedy Beall; Sister-in-love: Lois Fry Smith. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Allen (Joe Boy) Frye; daughter, Kimberly Frye Russell & husband Mike; son, Ralph Allen Frye II & wife Amy; son, William Henry (Hank) Frye & Teethina Teeter; daughter, Ericka Lane Frye; sister, Delores Reedy Minor; brother and sister-in-love, Reynolds (Popeye) and Jo Frye; brother and sister-in-love, Harry and Betty Lou Frye; eight grandchildren: Jacob Allen Frye and Kayci, Tonia Russell Groseclose and Derick, Caleb Aaron Russell, Hannah Faith Frye, Hayley Dawn Frye Compton and Cody, William Jackson Frye, Blaine Allen Frye, Kolby Evan Frye, and Mychal Perkins; and eight great grandchildren: Alexus Perkins, Elizabeth Groseclose, Ryver Compton, Kimberlynn Groseclose, Waylon Frye, Kurt Groseclose, Simon Loueiro, Silas Frye; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She loved the Lord, her family, tending to her garden and flowers, reading, and playing bingo. Her celebration of life service will be held at Light House Baptist church in Saltville, Virginia on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with Reverends Benny Frye and Popeye Frye officiating. Always thinking of others, it was one of her final wishes that donations to St. Jude’s Children’s hospitals be made in lieu of flowers.
