Sorry that I missed this, I don't take the paper any more on a regular basis, and I missed his death..... we had visited and chatted in his home back last winter, late fall..... talked abt. his store, shop, and the toys he used to make. I remember well him and his wife, used to mow the lawn for Flossie and the Holmes..... and a time when I came home from SC and had a failed starter and how he opened the store on a Sunday and sold me a replacement...... a very fine man, all of his life.... I know he is greatly missed by all who got to know him...... my condolences on your lost, but he had a rich and full life.......

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Grissom's passing. I always called him "Mr. Grissom" out of respect and because he was the father of Pete Grissom who was one of my best friends growing up. Pete and I had many happy times in our old North Street neighborhood. I admired Mr. Grissom because he was an excellent businessman and always very pleasant to be around and to talk with. I offer my deepest condolences to Pete and his wife.
